Three interesting close-up shots from a 4-day trip to the French River Provincial Park at the end of June (the link to the full story is here). Flower pictures are a guilty pleasure for sure – I really love the harebell. As always, thanks for viewing! – J.N.
A very common sight on Georgian Bay, harebell always surprises me for it’s ability to grow absolutely anywhere.
In contrast to the harebell, Pink Lady’s Slipper is a rare member of the orchid family growing in Ontario. Rare bloomers, and only in the spring.
Does anyone know what type of insect this is? I have no idea… I caught it just after molting. Five minutes later, and gone.
